After reading The Epoch Times series "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," I felt like I just awoke from a nightmare. I didn’t realize before that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is an evil specter that possesses people, and is a cult that controls the worst of mankind to destroy heavenly order and human lives. Even though the wicked Communist rulers tore apart three generations of my family and caused deaths, they still claim to be “helping the people obtain happiness.” After recognizing their true nature through my own life experience, I would like to declare, on behalf of my father who died wrongfully, his withdrawl from the CCP. Our family had nearly ten members. In the early 1900's, my family was impoverished. My great-grandpa was over 30 years old before he could afford pants. There were no shoes to speak of. When my grandpa was a child, he discovered an ancient tomb where he found hidden silver coins. From the sale of the coins, he was able to purchase assets. After obtaining land and fields, life was still hard, as the whole family worked in the fields, raised pigs, mended clothes, made shoes, weaved cloth, and brewed wine. They often worked all night long. When they had money, they sent my father and uncle to school. In 1952, the Land Reform Working Group led by the Communist government came to our village. They divided up our family assets among themselves, and labeled my family landlords. My grandpa was criticized and beaten for owning land. Because my father and uncle were going to school out of town, they weren’t allowed to return home. My father was even forced to join underground organizations controlled by the CCP and had to sever his ties with the family. Because of this sudden trauma, my grandpa committed suicide. The burden of raising the family fell on the shoulders of my young mother. Since then, the armed local police often came to force my mother to pay a fine. By then, all of our wealth was taken away, and we had no source to pay for the fines. My mother fell sick under the pressure and passed away. Even before she died, she wasn’t able to meet with my father. I experienced the bitterness of a broken family at a very young age. I cried all night in front of my mother’s grave, and nobody came to help me. My father devoted all his life to the CCP. As an engineer in the military, he permanently left town to work on a project the first week he married my stepmother. I later moved in with my stepmother, but my father and I never met again. In 1957, my father, full of ideas and passion to improve the country, made some suggestions to the CCP. This was the beginning of his downfall. Because he belonged to the underground organization, not the CCP itself, he was accused of being a counterrevolutionary opportunist, and a right-wing member who was trying to hide his crimes. Just because of one false document, our family was torn apart again. My father died wrongfully, and my stepmother took our savings and remarried. Again, I was sent to my hometown as a child of a counterrevolutionary. I became an orphan for the second time at only ten. Despite my young age, I was not spared from the political movements that swept the country. I was forced to lie and slander my own relatives to save myself. In such an era of terror, each day felt like a year. I tried to kill myself several times but did not succeed. In 1979, there was a major shake-up in the central government, and many wronged cases were overturned. I went to my late father’s agency to visit and hoped they would change how they labeled my father. The CCP leader changed his reason for death to “non work-related death,” and paid us 1,250 yuan to compensate for three months of lost salary. That was all they were willing to do for us. My father, who devoted his life to the CCP, was killed by the CCP. I changed his official reason for death, and thought that I had helped him wash away the criminal charges from his record. How could I have foreseen that I actually tied him to the deep, sinister abyss of the CCP. After recognizing the wicked nature of the CCP, and seeing that three generations of my family had been persecuted by it, I truly regret trying to whitewash its crimes. I hereby declare for my deceased father his withdrawal from the wicked CCP organization. Person making the statement: Person helping make the statement:
