My name is Ni Ernan, originally from Jiangsu. I attained a B.S. in engineering from the Nanjing Science and Engineering University, M.S. in engineering from the Harbin Engineering University. In 1994, I was admitted into the Xi'an Jiaotong University System Engineering to study for a Ph.D. degree. When I was in school, I once won first prize in the Science Paper competition, and the first prize of the 505 Enterprises competition. After graduation in 1998, I went to the United States to study at Connecticut University, and graduated from the Connecticut University in 2001. I worked for an U.S. company, the Northeast Utilities Company, and am now a senior engineer there. In 2003, I was granted the company’s President Award for a special contribution. I grew up under the CCP culture and education and joined the Chinese Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League as a natural process. I had always thought these were the essentials in one’s life, had never doubted the lies told by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I personally experienced the Tiananmen Square Massacre which occurred on June 4, 1989, and obtained understanding of the CCP’s bloody suppression of the patriotic students in the Tiananmen Square from a Western short wave broadcasting station. I also saw with my own eyes how students of the class of 1986 were held accountable afterwards. And, I also read about or heard that the CCP had cruelly harmed as many as 80 million Chinese people in various previous CCP movements, but I still erroneously believed the lies of the CCP that those crimes were committed by a few individuals that the party was forever “great, honorable and correct.” I did not really understand the essence of the CCP. I even applied for the CCP’s membership in writing when I was at Western Jiaotong University. Not until a little while ago, when I carefully read the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” by The Epoch Times, I thoroughly realized the false nature and the evil character of the CCP. An example is the so-called “three year’s natural disaster,” which was, in fact, a means to fool the world in order to cover up its crime of killing people. Historical data and the older generation’s recollection both confirmed that in those three years of “good crop weather and the abundant grain harvest,” there was an “unusual” phenomenon that the harvest per acre had not reached the huge tonnage what the CCP People's Daily propagandized and forecasted, therefore, hundreds of millions of farmers could only watch their own grain ration be confiscated for fulfilling the target tonnage and be forced to die of starvation. Recently when talking with my parents on the phone, I found out that my grandfather and one of my mother’s uncles died this way. Considering my hometown was one of the two cities that had always been called “heaven on earth,” Suzhou and Hangzhou, it was not hard to imagine how many people died like that in the entire country. While celebrating my luck of barely missed the evil spirit by refusing to attend the party school study and the thought collective report, I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to solemnly make a public statement to withdraw from the Communist Youth League and the Chinese Young Pioneers, and I also would like to seriously appeal for resignation from the party to save myself as well as save the nation. At the same time, I wholeheartedly wish all my teachers, schoolmates and the alumni can carefully read the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” which is a present day remarkable piece of writing, and calmly make one’s own choice.
