My grandfather on my father’s side is a retired cadre of the CCP, so I was raised in a communist military environment. I was in the first group in my class to join the Young Pioneers. My performance during junior high school was not quite ideal at that time in China, everybody wanted to join CCP organizations to gain better jobs and the social status attached to living a more privileged life. Back then I thought I can get a bigger share by joining the Communist Youth League, so I applied many times, and I finally joined the Communist Youth League. As a freshman in college, I wrote an application to join the Communist party, but because I was not a class leader, they did not accept me. During my sophomore year, 2nd year in college, I read Maoist and Marxist books among others. However I slowly discovered the evil nature of the Communist Party. A short time later I watched the video of the teacher Mr. Yuan Tengfei during the Culture Revolution. My understanding of the communist party and the bandit Mao Zedong grew deeper and clearer.

My grandpa on my mother’s side was a righteous man, who took part in the Kuomintang military uprising. After the unjust treatment by the communist party, he was persecuted to death. My grandmother’s family (on my father’s side) also had many family members who were tortured to death during the Cultural Revolution. A great amount of real estate and the family’s finances become the possession of the communist party. 

I hereby declare: I renounce my previous membership of the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League, and any other organizations. I will never again join the party, any of its evil external organizations or affiliated organizations. And I will never accept the evil party’s hired thugs’ rule over Chinese people.
