Over the years, one thing has been puzzling me. In the late 1980s I was the director of a neighborhood committee in China. One day before the Chinese New Year, I was given notice to bring some gifts to visit a veteran's family, and a TV crew was to videotape the event. So I prepared a lot of gifts.

The veteran's family we visited was indeed very poor. The old woman who was in her seventies was all alone. Seeing that we had brought so many gifts, she was very excited and thanked the government wholeheartedly. However, when the videotaping was over, someone said all the gifts were to be taken back. Several others immediately took the gifts and walked out of her home. I was very sad. In my heart I couldn't agree with it whatsoever. I felt the Party was really hypocritical. You can imagine how badly the old woman felt.

Now I can really understand the truth behind this. The CCP is evil in its very nature. Therefore it does all those good deeds just to cover up its true nature. It's a disgrace to have even a tiny bit of a relationship with such a wicked Party. Therefore, I declare my withdrawal from all its organizations, and I am resolutely determined not to become one of its funerary objects.
