Background

I came to the U.S. in 1967 after graduating from the National Taiwan University. As a young student with a strong idealistic tendency, I felt shame at how weak China had become in the recent period of time, and my patriotism and ignorance about the CCP made me voluntarily help the CCP overseas.

Assisting the Communist Party

For more than ten years, I was involved in an overseas leftist student movement, and contributed both financially and personally without any expectation of rewards. At that time, I was quite proud of myself for such selflessness. After reading the Nine Commentaries on the CCP, I learnt that the CCP is essentially an evil spirit; I deeply regretted having assisted the killer of so many innocent Chinese people.

My main activities during the period include:
- Organized Mao Zedong articles reading forum
- Published magazines encouraging hatred against American Imperialism and advocating how strong China was; called for overseas Chinese people’s patriotism to support CCP
- Organized parades supporting China‘s becoming a member of the U.N.
- Distributed Overseas Chinese Daily advocating CCP, which negatively impacted many Chinese people living in Chinatown.

Awakening

I visited China twice after the Cultural Revolution, and found myself deceived by the CCP. The CCP’s overseas propaganda painted themselves as idealists “serving the people”. However, the reality I saw was that people were so poor that they did not even have enough food and clothes. Chinese people also told me that “the CCP is worse than the Kuomintang.”

The bloody crackdown of the student movement on June 4th, 1989 showed me the cruelty of the CCP, but my true awakening did not happen until I watched the Nine Commentaries on the CCP, published by the Epoch Times and broadcast on NTDTV. This was then that I finally realized the evil nature of the CCP and felt shame for having assisted it.

Retribution

The heavenly rule of “good will be rewarded with good, and evil will receive retribution” is never wrong. I did so many bad deeds thinking that they were good; as a result, I received my share of retributions. I divorced for no good reason, and my two children are now suffering from the impact of the divorce. I feel so sorry that this has happened to them.

I sincerely hope all my friends, those who work for the U.N., those who are doing business with China, those who live in different countries, especially those who lived in Chinatown and were deceived by the CCP propaganda that I advocated before, please read the Nine Commentaries on the CCP. You will understand everything that I have said, and that will help eliminate some of the retribution I have received.
