LONG BEACH— A Chinese student and his friends have been compelled to hand out newspapers and leaflets explaining the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Fan Huchang, 23, originally from Qingdao City in Shandong Province, said he hands out the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to students and staff at California State University in the hope that more people on the campus will understand the regime controlling China today. “We hold such activities on the campus because many Chinese students here, who have been brainwashed by the CCP culture since childhood, still do not know how many evil things the CCP has done and how many Chinese people the CCP has killed. We hope they have a chance to re-learn history.” Fan said his family has suffered under the CCP for decades and he recently quit the Communist Young Pioneers and become a member of the China Democracy Party. His grandfather was labeled a member of “black elements” during the Cultural Revolution, he said, despite working for the Party as early as the 1940’s. The Red Guards put his grandfather on top of three tables and then threw him to the ground many times. Fortunately, his grandfather survived the beatings, said Fan. As a Red Guard, his aunt tyrannized her own parents in the local square, and burnt them with a cigarette butt. Fan says it still casts a blight over the whole family today. His story is reflective of the Nine Commentaries’ description: “Through incessant political campaigns, the CCP has changed humans to wolves, or even an animal that is more fierce and cruel than the wolf. Even the most fierce tigers would not eat their young. But under the rule of the CCP, it has been common for parents and children to report on each other or husbands and wives to expose each other; familial relations were frequently renounced.” The CCP’s use of violence has not abated with time. Fan said that he witnessed one of his father’s friends being beaten to death in a police station. And one of his grandmother’s friends, a Falun Gong practitioner, died two days after being arrested—with the police insisting the death was through illness. Fan tells how his mother used to run a taxi business. The local policemen extorted money from his mother along with other gangs who were involved in robbery. When his mother appealed for justice at a police station, the policemen beat her up and detained her for a day. Finally his mother was forced to close the taxi business. She then opened a hotel, but the police did not stop their extortion, according to Fan. They took away her property such as TVs and neon lights, and revoked her business license. Under the one-party dictatorship of the CCP, Fan said, the media in China are still under tight and absolute control. They are a political and ideological tool of the CCP and most Chinese cannot know the truth due to major news blackouts and misinformation. Fan said that when the Chinese people truly understand the history of China and realize the importance of establishing a democratic constitutional government, the CCP would soon collapse. - The Epochtimes
