KOREA—One June 24 South Korea's Global Service Center for quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held a rally and parade in Suwon, a city near Seoul, to support the 23 million people who have renounced their ties with the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

The South Korean branch of the Global Service Center for quitting the CCP, South Korea Epoch Times and the South Korean Falun Dafa Association co-sponsored the rally and parade. Representatives from these organizations gave speeches during the rally and called for the Chinese people living in the Suwon to quit the CCP in order to have a good future.......

A representative from the Suwon branch of the Korean Service Center for quitting the CCP said that, since the Suwon branch was established in November 2006, approximately ten Chinese people used their services to quit the CCP daily and now more than 300 people have completed their quitting CCP announcements.

A volunteer from the Suwon Branch, said, "Chinese people were poisoned by the CCP's propaganda and often they tore up the fliers we offered, and even cursed us. Now the situation has changed, and the Chinese people's attitude towards us has become much more positive. After they listened to what we shared with them about the CCP, they showed their support and understanding. Among the people who recently quit the CCP, some are those who even cursed us fiercely before. In addition, a growing number of people have quit the CCP using their real names."

Zheng Qiuchen, recently appointed Asian Branch leader of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) and also a standing committee member of the Citizens Group of South Korea Judicial Reform said, "China had a great culture for five thousand years in history, but it was ruined under the rule of the CCP in the last 50 years. Now it starts with a new history in the form of quitting the CCP, and I sincerely hope that all Chinese people take this opportunity and bring democracy to China."

A trainer for consultants of the Suwon Welfare Foundation said, "My friends told me that practicing Falun Gong improves their health. However, the CCP is persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in China by removing their organs—it is unbelievable. Recently I read the reports on the tragedy of child slave labor in China in The Chosun Ilbo and I was so shocked. I think the international society should not keep silent on these serious human rights violations in China."

The parade route was on the main traffic area. The Tianguo marching band, Korean traditional dance, Chinese waist drum performers and banners about the Nine Commentaries of the Communist Party banners attracted many residents who watched on the street.
