By Dr. Li Dayong, Executive Director of Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, at the 2008 Grand Rally for Quitting the CCP in Washington, D.C. undersigned by 34 groups, Jul. 18, 2008- Resolution to Disintegrate the CCP and End the Persecution WHEREAS, the right to exist and the right to believe are natural human rights which are sacred and inviolable; any individuals or groups who willfully trample upon the above-mentioned human rights are doomed to failure and will be forsaken by history. WHEREAS, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners who practice truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance and its despotic rule has killed an estimated 80 million Chinese people and totally destroyed Chinese traditional culture and the natural environment; the CCP’s sins are known to all, being guilty of hideous crimes that cannot be pardoned. WHEREAS, the Chinese people have given numerous opportunities to the CCP, including appealing to or writing letters to the central government of the regime, hunger strikes, giving advice even at the expense of being jailed, etc., in the hope that it would help the CCP make correct choices and bring about improvement through reforms. However, the Chinese people, while asking with goodwill for the basic right to exist and to believe, have been treated as enemies and subjected to brutal persecution. Even attorneys for human rights cases have been persecuted. WHEREAS, the CCP has turned a blind eye to numerous natural warnings and shows no sign of repentance. Instead it has increased the persecution against a large amount of people. The 2008 Beijing Olympics provided a golden opportunity for the CCP to improve human rights but instead it used the Olympics to launch attacks against ordinary Chinese people. The Chinese people are very capable of self-restraint. However, as long as there is a slight chance to live, they would like to be able to live well. A Chinese saying goes, “To die gracefully is not as good as to live disgracefully.” But the CCP is so evil and brutal that it is impossible to even live disgracefully unless one gives up all justice and consciousness and becomes a walking corpse. The divine land of China is by no means a haven for the CCP to play tyrant in. When the evil nature of the CCP indicates that there is no cure for its decay, the Chinese people must solemnly proclaim to the world: it is time to disintegrate the CCP and to end the persecution.
