When communism no longer harms humankind, when the violence and deceit that have destroyed hundreds of millions of lives end, the significant events along the way will be recorded in human history.

On Aug 16, 1980, over a hundred workers in the Gdansk Ship Factory, led by Lech Walesa, overcame their fear, took over the factory, and started a strike. Later, the national workers’ union was born. The union fought the communist government, and eventually Poland had a free election in June 1989. The union won an overwhelming victory, and the Polish communist government was peacefully superseded by a democratic government. This event triggered a domino effect in other communist countries in Eastern Europe.

On Dec 21, 1989, the former Romania President Nicolae Ceausescu delivered a public speech to 100,000 people in the Republican Square. A voice from the crowd shouted, “Overthrow Ceausescu!” Immediately the crowd started chanting, “'Ti-mi-soa-ra, Ti-mi-soa-ra!” Cries of “Ceausescu step down!” and “Overthrow the murderer!” filled the square. Ceausescu had no choice—he stopped his speech and fled the scene. Ceausescu was arrested the very next day and executed the following day.......

On Aug 19, 1991, police put former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev under house arrest while he was vacationing near the Black Sea. Within two weeks, power was transferred from the Kremlin to Yeltsin, thus ending seventy years of the USSR communist empire.

Now the falling dominoes of communist tyranny have passed from Eastern Europe and the USSR to the last bastion—the Chinese Communist Party.

According to The Epoch Times, on April 15, 2005, the total number of people who have publicly withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party, the Communist Youth League, and the China Young Pioneers since Dec 3, 2004, reached more than 850,000. So far, in April 2005, the average number of withdrawals has been 19,000 per day. The highest was on April 1, with over 24,000 withdrawals. If this trend continues, the total number of withdrawals will exceed one million some time between April 22 and 25.

One million Chinese publicly announcing their withdrawal from communist organizations will be a milestone that will signal a qualitative change. There are several reasons for the change.

One reason is the changing mentality of the Chinese people. When the publication of “Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party” last year initiated the mass resignations from the CCP, the Chinese people initially felt uneasy. Because of the ideology they had absorbed over many years under the suppressive CCP culture, many may have subconsciously felt alarm and wondered how they could ever quit the CCP. However, with more and more people reading the “Nine Commentaries” and seeing the exponentially increasing number of CCP withdrawals, the Chinese people are breaking through their mental blocks to begin to consider quitting the CCP themselves. Soon, major world media will pay attention to the Nine Commentaries and the growing movement of withdrawing from the CCP.

After the June 4, 1989 massacre in Tiananmen Square, there was also a trend of quitting the CCP. This time, however, the “Nine Commentaries” provide the rationale and the evidence for rejecting the CCP. Anyone who reads the “Nine Commentaries” can see that the CCP is nothing but a gang of hoodlums and racketeers. Quitting the CCP then comes from the heartfelt desire to be rid of it.

Another reason contributing to the trend is that the CCP has persecuted so many people. The CCP has killed over 80 million Chinese people. It is possible that each family has lost a member because of the CCP. Many people don’t know the truth because the older generations were afraid to speak about it. Now the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and Christians, the victims of the corruption and disasters related to the coal mines and dams, the jobless, and the war veterans are participating in the CCP withdrawal.

People can withdraw under their real names or an alias. Withdrawing from the CCP is the first step in ridding oneself of CCP-generated fear and ideology. Using an alias provides some protection from retaliation from the CCP dictatorship.

The wave of CCP withdrawals will grow rapidly. The CCP’s efforts to suppress the trend will fail. Though specialized in deceit, the CCP is unable to explain away the evidence presented in the “Nine Commentaries.” The CCP dare not even mention the words “Nine Commentaries” for fear of generating a wider interest in the articles.

The CCP cannot stop the last domino from falling. When the number of withdrawals reaches one million, the wave will become an unstoppable tsunami. That day will be recorded in history: On April xx, 2005, the number of people who declared their withdrawal from the CCP on The Epoch Times, website exceeded one million.

This is a wake-up call for the Chinese people. From the day of one million withdrawals, the CCP, the last fortress of communism that has harmed humankind for over a century, will be on the road of no return and will shortly collapse.
